Important investigation into the prehistoric animals of the central plains, issued as Vol. VII, Second Series, of the Journal of the Academy of Natural Sciences of Philadelphia. Pp. 9-21 comprise an introduction by Ferdinand V. Hayden, "On the Geology of the Tertiary Formations of Dakota and Nebraska," of which the large folding map is in the illustration.

Condition:

Slight aging to the paper, near fine in fine modern binding.
