1 page TLs on a sheet of paper, embossed with address 82, Merrion Square, Dublin. With date receipt stamp of 25 Sep 1923 at top of letter.

The letter, written to the British Broadcasting Company, reads: "Dear Sir, I shall be glad if you will make arrangements with the Broadcasting people for the broadcasting of the poems of mine mentioned in your letter of Sept 18th. The terms suggested by you in the enclosed typescript are no doubt satisfactory. You wrote to me on Sept 12th asking if I was prepared to accept a similar arrangement for the broadcasting of my one-act play "Cathleen ni-Houlihan". I hold the dramatic rights of that play and I shall be glad if you will make arrangements for its production by the Broadcasting Company." Signed in ink Wm B Yeats. The British Broadcasting Company or the BBC, had only been around for less than 1 year at the time the letter was written (the BBC was founded in December, 1922).
