Description:

22 leaves of heavy deckle-edged all rag paper, including 1 page of letterpress by Peter Koch. Many color linocut drawings including a frontispiece, illustrated title page, 16 plates, and 1 colophon illustration. The artist's hand-written captions to each plate on versos. 44.5x35.5 cm. (17½x14"), in yellow-orange cloth, lettered in navy blue. Bound by Cordoza James Bindery. No. 7 of only 25 copies.

A presentation in the artist's hand reads: "I have embossed this 7th volume of my book especially for my friend, Judy Severson, who so tenderly puts a piece of her loving heart in her prints. Judy, you have been an inspiration. I look forward to our continued friendship and 'breakfast chats". Mary, Christmas, 1985." Stent was a California artist, born in San Mateo in 1909. After moving to San Francisco in the 1960s, she became a docent at the De Young Museum and gave painting classes in her garden into the 1980s. Mrs. Stent died in San Francisco on Dec. 18, 1994. A scarce work, no copies listed by OCLC / Worldcat.

We are specialists at packing and shipping books and works on paper.   All lots purchased by the same client are combined for shipping in order to keep the cost as economical as possible.  Our preferred method for domestic shipments is UPS Ground but we can also ship via FedEx or USPS.  For international orders we select the most appropriate carrier depending on the value and weight of the items purchased.  We are happy to accommodate special arrangements by request.

Invoices are sent out the day following the auction and include a $10 handling fee plus actual shipping and insurance charges.
