Letter press title page plus 17 leaves with mounted images. Of the images, 11 are original photographic prints by Adams, 5 of which have Adam's studio stamp on the reverse, the remainder are half-tone prints or cut from other sources for use in the production mock up. (Oblong folio) 35x42.5 cm (13¾x16¾") black cloth with "AA" on front and "Ansel Adams" on spine in silver lettering, printed jacket (unfinished) with short, unprinted flaps.

A unique volume, one of only two such copies used in the preparation of the book for publication by the New York Graphic Society. The images have glue residue on the rear and several are marked with notations for cropping and resizing.
