First published in 1596, "the first systematic work on the whole subject of surgery written in England" (Garrison-Morton). Based on the author's practice in France, where he lived for nearly 3 decades; the illustrations are derived from the works of Ambroise Pare. Lowe (circa 1550-1610) was a Scottish surgeon who founded the Faculty of Physicians and Surgeons in Glasgow. Garrison-Morton 5567 (original edition); STC 16871.

Invoices are sent out the day following the auction and include a $10 handling fee plus actual shipping and insurance charges.
