First issue, with the 1684 date on title page. "The first analysis of blood, Boyle's Memoirs may be considered the first scientific study in physiological chemistry, exhibiting methods which have become universally adopted" (Garrison & Morton).  Garrison & Morton 861; Norman 309; Wing B3948.

Old leather worn, lacking front free endpaper, rear free endpaper detached, armorial bookplate; title page chipped and loosely attached, leaves A2, U3, & U4 detached; some light chipping to a few leaves at front and rear without loss of text, marginal stain at rear; very good.

Invoices are sent out the day following the auction and include a $10 handling fee plus actual shipping and insurance charges.
