Heavy club for the play of "Kolf" in Holland. From the collection of Jim Newsome, member #7 of The Golf Collectors' Society. He hosted the original members of the Society at his home in Oakmont at the time of the U.S. Open which was held at Oakmont Country Club the summer of 1973. Additionally, he was a member of the Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrews. At the time of his induction in 1975, there were a limited number of international members. He was a golf aficionado, historian and collector of fine golfing memorabilia. Newsome began collecting golf clubs, balls and books in the mid-1960’s before this was a popular hobby. This club, in the interest of security, was marked lightly with a number, and can be removed by a burnishing wheel. Expected shipping cost will be a minimum of $30 for domestic, and $100 for international.
