Fascinating manuscript records spanning some 160 years of donations to two churches in the Seville region of Spain, the Iglesia Santa Maria de Molinillo and Iglesia San Miguel de la Noguera. The text records the tithe or “diezmo” of a tenth of an income given to the church by various locals, with entries spanning from the 1670s-1830s and documenting donations of assorted commodities including agricultural products such as wheat, wool, barley, figs, cheese and flour. Records in table format, alternating with Spanish text in multiple hands and bearing numerous signatures including “Dn. Nicolas Gonzalez" near the end.
