Map of all of California, part of southern Oregon, and east just beyond Great Salt Lake. Counties are shown, and there is detail in the gold region, including colored dots to show "Workings of Gold" and lines showing quartz veins. Warren Heckrotte notes that "The map includes both Ogdens River and Humboldt River. Ogdens River is the misplaced Humboldt River."
