Engraved chart of the California coast, printed by Louis Antoine. 66.5x100 cm. (26¼x29¼"). With insets of the bays and ports at Guaymas, Ballena, St. Bartholomé, Pulpito, San Quentin, San Diego, San Pedro, Monterey, San Francisco, and Bodega, all with many depth readings and from various sources.
Scarce and detailed map of California's coastline, with much detail for navigation and a few inland landmarks. Presumably from Robiquet's "Atlas Hydrographique" of 1856, but this printing with separate price (4 francs) and publisher's blindstamp in margin.
