Scarce map of California and Nevada with much detail with regard to the silver-producing regions of Nevada, which were increasingly fueling the California economy, or at least adding wealth to those already well off. Railroads are shown, both proposed and completed, with recently competed transcontinental railroad prominent among the latter.
