260, [3] pp. Translated from the German by Gustave Revilliod. With 6 mounted etchings on India paper. (8vo) 22.5x14.5 cm (8¾x5½"), original blindstamped brown cloth, spine lettered in gilt. First Illustrated Edition and First Edition in French.

"Gerstäcker's fictionalized California sketches, like his Travels, consists of descriptions of San Francisco and the mines. The French translation is embellished with A. Gandon's beautiful and sometimes humorous etchings" - Kurutz.

Invoices are sent out the day following the auction and include a $10 handling fee plus actual shipping and insurance charges.
