The map of "The Oil Territory of The Pacific Coast Petroleum Co." shows five ranchos in San Luis Obispo County. with some physical features and "Oil Springs," and at the right is a map of the California coast from San Francisco to San Diego, showing the locations of San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara counties. At the top left in red ink script: "The red lines & dots indicate Gas & Oil Springs located by Col. Williamson's field notes"; this was apparently added at the time the map was colored. The map measures 20.4x26 cm. This is the Thomas W. Streeter copy, with his small oval bookplate in the inside of the front wrapper, and a few pencil notes in his hand.
