Two volumes.
Rare first editions by small presses, of two volumes of writings by the Russian mystical philosopher Peter Ouspensky, best remembered today for his association with G.I. Gurdjieff, the Greek-Armenian mystic and spiritual teacher who founded a school for spiritual development called The Institute for the Harmonious Development of Man. Although Ouspensky and Gurdjieff had a falling out, Ouspensky continued to teach Gurdjieff's ideas in small private groups, and he further wrote about Gurdjieff's teachings.
