Signed, titled, and numbered in pencil in the lower margin. Karl Albert Kasten (1916–2010) was a painter-printmaker-educator in the San Francisco Bay Area. In 1950, he established the Printmaking program and a course in Materials and Techniques at UC Berkeley. His works are in the collections of the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art; Museum of Modern Art, New York City; M. H. de Young Memorial Museum; the Victoria and Albert Museum, London, etc.
