This report on the Raynolds survey of the Yellowstone and Missouri Rivers in 1859 was delayed because of the Civil War. Includes the large folding "Map of the Yellowstone and Missouri Rivers and their Tributaries, explored by Capt. W.F. Raynolds Topl. Engres. and 1st Lieut. H.E. Maynadier 10th Inft. Assistant." It measures 68x105.5 cm. Howes R88.

Lot Amendments

Some rubbing to spine ends, cover gilt dull; map with some darkening along folds and splits at fold intersections; very good.
