97 pp. Folding map. (8vo) 22x13.5 cm (8¾x5¼"), period half morocco & marbled boards, spine lettered in gilt.

Report of continued significance in the long and contentious history of water rights in California. The map is: "Map of the Sacramento Valley from Chico Landing to Suisun Bay showing Plan of Improvement presented by Commission of Engineers of 1904 for the solution of the Flood Problem in this Valley." Scale 6 miles to an inch. It measures 59.3x38.5 cm.
