  • The Donkey Inside. With an original colored drawing of a artist (possibly a monk?) painting on an easel, signed by Bemelmans in ink, as issued; plus an additional ink inscription on the half-title, "For Grace and Val, honorary patria, & I love you, Ludwig V." Two-tone cloth lettered in gilt. No. 141 of 175 copies. 1941.
  • Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep. Signed by Bemelmans on the limitation page. Cloth, color pictorial cover label, slipcase. (Slipcase top edge broken, splitting at some seams; volume spine darkened with rubbing at ends.) Out of series copy from a total run of 500 copies. 1945.

Both are first editions.

We are specialists at packing and shipping books and works on paper.   All lots purchased by the same client are combined for shipping in order to keep the cost as economical as possible.  Our preferred method for domestic shipments is UPS Ground but we can also ship via FedEx or USPS Priority Mail.  For international orders we select the most appropriate carrier depending on the value and weight of the items purchased.  We are happy to accommodate special arrangements by request.

Invoices are sent out the day following the auction and include a minimum $10 handling fee plus actual shipping and insurance charges.
