Chapters on hunting black bear, fox, buffalo, moose, deer, elk, antelope, fishing for Atlantic salmon, trout, bass, trout, bamboo rods, reels, bird dogs, archery, shotguns, bird taxidermy, etc. Bruns states "A tremendous work, with articles by such famous names as Dan Beard, John Muir, George Bird Grinnell, James A. Henshall, Thaddeus Norris, John Burroughs, Charles E. Whitehead and others." J. C.
