Printed by the author at age 86 on a handpress. According to Streeter: "This Sketch contains an account of the early years of W.B. Ide, recollections by his daughter of the family's trip across the plains to California in 1845, and an account of the Bear Flag revolt of 1846 as told by Ide to his brother in 1849, and in a letter to a Senator Wambough which, as Ide died in 1852, must have been written within a few years of the event. [An] interesting account of the overland journey of 1845 and important source on the beginnings of American rule in California in 1846." We have a full service shipping department to ensure proper packing and safe delivery of purchases at reasonable cost. We are specialists at packing and shipping books and works on paper.   All lots purchased by the same client are combined for shipping in order to keep the cost as economical as possible.  Our preferred method for domestic shipments is UPS Ground but we can also ship via FedEx or USPS Priority Mail.  For international orders we select the most appropriate carrier depending on the value and weight of the items purchased.  We are happy to accommodate special arrangements by request.

Invoices are sent out the day following the auction and include a minimum $10 handling fee plus actual shipping and insurance charges.
