Parts 1-3 (complete) of the second part of Clarke's travel observations. All plates and maps present. Clarke, a professor of mineralogy at Cambridge, traveled extensively at the opening of the 19th century publishing his observations in six volumes between 1810 and 1823. With bookplates of the Bath Public Reference Library.

Lot Amendments

Wear, soiling and rubbing to bindings, library numbers on spines, slitting to spine cloth of vol. 1; vol. 1 hinges cracked, some tears to front endpaper, binding loose but holding, scattered foxing throughout, offsetting from plates, foxing to maps, occasional perforated library stamp, some worm damage to page edges of pt. 3; good to very good.

We are specialists at packing and shipping books and works on paper.   All lots purchased by the same client are combined for shipping in order to keep the cost as economical as possible.  Our preferred method for domestic shipments is UPS Ground but we can also ship via FedEx or USPS Priority Mail.  For international orders we select the most appropriate carrier depending on the value and weight of the items purchased.  We are happy to accommodate special arrangements by request.

Invoices are sent out the day following the auction and include a minimum $10 handling fee plus actual shipping and insurance charges.
