Rare prospectus for a little-known California oil company, oddly based in Nevada City in the heart of the Gold Region, though the wells were in Kern County. The map is "Map showing property of the Prosperity Oil Co. of Nevada City, Cal. and the West Side Oil Belt of Kern County. Compiled from the latest authentic sources. Edw. C. Uren, C.E." OCLC/WorldCat lists only three copies, at the University of California Berkeley; Yale University; and Southern Methodist University.

Invoices are sent out the day following the auction and include a minimum $10 handling fee plus actual shipping and insurance charges.
