Rowling on the title page. Provenance: The library of Barbara Peckenpaugh.  Ms. Peckenpaugh was a Literary Escort for several major Children's Publishing Houses (Scholastic, William Morrow, Harper Collins, etc.)  for about 15 years - from the late 1980's until 2004.  In the fall of 1999 Scholastic publicist Chris Moran enlisted Ms. Peckenpaugh to drive J. K. Rowling, her daughter, Jessica, and Moran himself to various Southern California book store signing events, over the course of 5 days more than 600 miles were covered, including a visit to Disneyland.
