Scarce volume of racial stereotype illustrated stories. OCLC locates only 4 copies, one in France, three in the U.S. The author, Georges Le Cordier, worked mainly for Delagrave editions, his works illustrated by some of the best illustrators at the beginning of the 20th century. In 1908, he wrote for the Sam and Sap, the first French comic strip using phylacteries, i.e. dialog balloons.
