Signed at the colophon by Mark Carol, Alan James Robinson, and Brien Davies, the founder of the International Fund for Animal Welfare, who wrote the foreword. The fictional narrative of a young boy's experience with the harp seals is printed in Centaur type on Saunders paper, interleaved with the seals' poems printed in Arrighi italic on blue Moriki paper. The separate suite of the 11 etchings and 5 wood engravings is not present with this copy.
