Rare first edition of this important and well-illustrated volume of plans for mills of various construction, uses, and sources of power. Plates and descriptions include snuff mills, corn mills, mills for various flours, barley, malt, flax, oil, paper, etc.; also bleaching machines, a plan and elevation for a paper mill, etc. More commonly found in the second edition of 1806, only a single copy of this 1804 edition appears in auction records (Christie's 1984, $1,165). OCLC locates only 8 copies in US institutional holdings, 5 additional copies located internationally.

Invoices are sent out the day following the auction and include a minimum $10 handling fee plus actual shipping and insurance charges.
