The twins, Dick and Doc, are captured by fierce cannibals, and do magic tricks to escape and find Tarzan. This is the scarce first edition; there were seven editions, or printings, in the same format between 1927 and 1932. Also included is a copy with black and white boards and endpapers, with blank interior. Likely a salesman's dummy or binding sample. Heins TTw.1; Zeuschner 656.

Lot Amendments

Wear and rubbing to boards and cloth with a few abraded areas with loss to color on top boards, spotting to spine cloth with some loss at spine heel; rear hinge a bit tender, a few areas of loss to color at rear endpapers; good.

We are specialists at packing and shipping books and works on paper.   All lots purchased by the same client are combined for shipping in order to keep the cost as economical as possible.  Our preferred method for domestic shipments is UPS Ground but we can also ship via FedEx or USPS Priority Mail. We do NOT ship USPS Media Mail under any circumstances.For international orders we select the most appropriate carrier depending on the value and weight of the items purchased.  We are happy to accommodate special arrangements by request.

Invoices are sent out the day following the auction and include a minimum $10 handling fee plus actual shipping and insurance charges.
