There are two separate versions of this title, both published in 1904. The principal difference is that this first state, offered here, has 143 pages, while the later version has 152 pages and is taller, and printed on Imperial Japanese paper. The author Edmund Walstein Davis was heir to the Davis Vegetable Painkiller fortune, and one of the founding members of the Cascapedia Club. One of the more important salmon angling books for the collector. With the decorative bookplate of John Law Dallom, and his ownership signature, dated August '04 on front free endpaper.
