Ben Hogan won on the South Course, Oakland Hills Country Club with a +7 score. Making this Hogan's third of four U.S. Open wins and his second win in a row. Hogan also won The Masters and the World Championship of Golf all in the same year. 

Between the years of 1938 through 1959, Hogan won 63 professional golf tournaments despite his career being interrupted in its prime by World War II and a near-fatal car accident in 1949. With articles: "Hogan Does the Impossible; The Slammer Swings Again!; The Haig: Patron Saint of Pro Golf; etc.

Invoices are sent out the day following the auction and include a minimum $10 handling fee plus actual shipping and insurance charges.
