Volumes 1 and 2, Selected Birds of America and Selected Quadrupeds of North America, were issued in 1977 as a two volume set. Those included here are No. 1703 of 5,000 limited copies. Volumes 3 to 10 were issued in 1978 and 1979 and are designated on spine and title pages as American Wildlife Heritage Nos. 3-10. An 11th volume, being a master index to the series, was issued in 1980.
