Sarah Raymond and her family traveled overland with the Hardinbrokke party, leaving Memphis, Missouri, on May 1, 1865, and arriving at Virginia City, Montana, on September 5. Sarah distinguished herself by driving one of the wagons, even across the North Platte River.
