Sarah Raymond and her family traveled overland with the Hardinbrokke party, leaving Memphis, Missouri, on May 1, 1865, and arriving at Virginia City, Montana, on September 5. Sarah distinguished herself by driving one of the wagons, even across the North Platte River. She published her journal in Virginia City's Rocky Mountain Husbandman and then had it privately printed in book form. Eberstadt, Modern Overlands, 221; Graff 1870; Howes H-439; Smith 4371.

Invoices are sent out the day following the auction and include a minimum $10 handling fee plus actual shipping and insurance charges.
