Two volumes; thick octavos (21.75cm.); publisher's olive cloth, gilt-lettered spines; [2], xii, 689; [2] ,vi 704 pp.; illustrated throughout. First Edition. Second state with "Psychology" unhyphenated facing title page.

A quite presentable set of James's hugely influential textbook, which laid the foundation for behaviorist science in the United States.

Some general shelf wear to cloth extremities, corners bumped, spine gilt a bit dulled, small (ca 1/4" dia) loss to center of Vol. II, p. 101-2, with loss of a few characters on both sides of sheet; else Very Good and sound.
