Manual for interrogating the applicants to the order of San Francisco, i.e. Franciscans. It includes a full list of questions that the postulant had to answer during his examination, before being admitted in the order. The interrogation was aimed at finding if the applicant was a Catholic “pure blood” (not a descendant of Jewish or Muslim ancestors), if he was free of debts, if he was married and if he had any criminal records. The applicant also had to present several witnesses to verify his claims. This is apparently the first edition. OCLC/WorldCat lists only one copy, at the Biblioteca Nacional Mexico.
