Ten menus, eight from 1947 and two from 1950, each with a photograph by Ansel Adams on the front, and a Breakfast, Luncheon, or Dinner menu printed inside. A few descriptive paragraphs on the rear.

Included are images of The Grizzly Giant, Winter in Yosemite, Yosemite Falls, etc. Dates include September 22 & 25, October 30, November 1-4, 1947 & May 8 & 12, 1950. Also included are two sets of post cards, each with 16 images by Ansel Adams (Yosemite Valley & National Parks & Monuments) published by 5 Associates, Redwood City, CA.

Includes for 1947:

  • Sept. 22. Breakfast. The Grizzly Giant, Mariposa Grove of Big Trees.
  • Sept. 25. Breakfast. Tenaya Lake.
  • Oct. 30. Dinner. Winter in Yosemite.
  • Nov. 1. Luncheon. Half Dome and Merced River.

Lot Amendments

Light wear overall, the November 1 menu has heavier wear and the names of the diners on the front; the post card packages and a few of the cards have some foxing; very good and better.

We have a full service shipping department to ensure proper packing and safe delivery of purchases at reasonable cost. We are specialists at packing and shipping books and works on paper.   All lots purchased by the same client are combined for shipping in order to keep the cost as economical as possible.  Our preferred method for domestic shipments is UPS Ground but we can also ship via FedEx or USPS Priority Mail. We do NOT ship USPS Media Mail under any circumstances.For international orders we select the most appropriate carrier depending on the value and weight of the items purchased.  We are happy to accommodate special arrangements by request.

Invoices are sent out the day following the auction and include a minimum $10 handling fee plus actual shipping and insurance charges.

A buyer's premium of 20% will be applied to all purchases.
