Third edition, with a new preface, preceded by two editions in 1804. 

A collection of pro-Royalist and occasionally lurid profiles of revolutionary France. With an anti-Bonaparte preliminary “Advertisement to the Third Edition,” dated December, 1804, which notes this edition is further corrected and enlarged. Goldsmith (1763?-1846) was a Jewish author from London who wrote a number of anti-Bonaparte works between 1810 and 1815; see Allibone. The attribution of authorship is tentative: Halkett & Laing, NUC and RLIN also attribute possible authorship to one Mr. Stewarton. Handsomely bound.
