xlii, 46 pp. Color frontispiece after a painting by Maynard Dixon; six tipped-in plates from photographs; three plates of costume designs. Plus a section of "Extra-Illustrations" comprising 15 additional color plates after paintings by Maynard Dixon and 10 tipped-in plates from photographs by Gabriel Moulin of scenes from other Bohemian Club Grove plays. Large folding plan of the Theatre at Bohemian Grove, Sonoma County, California. (8vo) original parchment, gilt decoration on front. One of only 25 copies.

A special edition of this Grove Play, published 10 years after its production in a very small limitation.

With an introduction on the Bohemian Club and its productions by Garnett, written for the collected edition of their series of plays (1918). Inscribed on the front free endpaper: "To Redfern Mason with the compliments of the author, Porter Garnett. Berkeley, California, May 13, 1921." Among the rarest of the clubs plays. Of the 25 copies printed OCLC locates 9 in institutional collections.

We are specialists at packing and shipping books and works on paper.   All lots purchased by the same client are combined for shipping in order to keep the cost as economical as possible.  Our preferred method for domestic shipments is UPS Ground but we can also ship via FedEx or USPS Priority Mail. We do NOT ship USPS Media Mail under any circumstances.For international orders we select the most appropriate carrier depending on the value and weight of the items purchased.  We are happy to accommodate special arrangements by request.

Invoices are sent out the day following the auction and include a minimum $10 handling fee plus actual shipping and insurance charges.
