xxix, [1], 208 pp. (8vo) 20x12 cm (8x5"), period leather backed with modern leatherette; new endpapers and flyleaf, original front flyleaf laid in. Third Edition, Corrected. 

Scarce and important work on the history and treatment of asthma. The volume was translated into French and German, and went through several English editions, becoming a pivotal work in the field on which future authors on the subject relied. No previous auction records for this particular edition could be located.

Lot Amendments
Wear and rubbing to boards with much of leather worn away, rubbing to spine leather; title page and a few following leaves a bit loose but holding, early ownership inscription on laid in flyleaf, later ownership inscription (upside down) on rear free endpaper, scattered light foxing; about very good.
Lots sold without reserve are sold "as Is" and are not returnable under any circumstances. The minimum shipping and handling per invoice is $25 for shipments to the US and $40 for shipments sent outside the US Please consider this when determining your bid amounts.

We are specialists at packing and shipping books and works on paper.   All lots purchased by the same client are combined for shipping in order to keep the cost as economical as possible.  Our preferred method for domestic shipments is UPS Ground but we can also ship via FedEx or USPS Priority Mail. We do NOT ship USPS Media Mail under any circumstances.For international orders we select the most appropriate carrier depending on the value and weight of the items purchased.  We are happy to accommodate special arrangements by request.

Invoices are sent out the day following the auction and include a minimum $10 handling fee plus actual shipping and insurance charges.
