Not paginated. Printed on Japan Vellum. Color decorated title page, 20 tipped in color plates after paintings by Willy Pogány, and several other full page illustrations printed in various colors. Each page of text printed within decorative borders of several designs and with various background illustrations printed in green or lavender. No. 2 of 25 copies of this special edition. First Pogány Edition.

Fine copy of one of Willy Pogany's most ambitious undertakings. This is a sumptuous limited edition of only 25 copies and with each element designed by Pogany, who was no doubt inspired by medieval book illuminators. The last copy of this limitation to sell at auction was here at PBA Galleries in 2005, in the Noreen Curry collection. Rare. Laid in is a typed letter, signed by Pogany, to Samuel Goldwyn, Inc., regarding the use and care of his drawings and designs.
