One of the most noteworthy of all collected editions of the Works of Charles Dickens, handsomely printed, and with the superbly reproduced original illustrations. The original woodcut block by Marcus Stone is from Our Mutual Friend, and is entitled "Mr. Wegg prepares a grindstone for Mr. Boffin's nose." A print pulled from the block, as well as a letter of authenticity signed by an officer at Chapman & Hall, Ltd., are also included.
