The Rev. Eden's church has been damaged, "it his now nearly two months since we have been unable to hold worship in our House appointed for that purpose in consequence of falling of the wall during... the rains... We were driven to... beg the good citizens of Monrovia to aid us to repair the damages sustained but we have made but a very little progress... I presume we might expect some assistance but the spirit of bigotry runs high here..."
