Rare muster roll for the CSA, for Captain Samuel D. Oliver's company. The printed text at top, which in this example is filled out in ink manuscript, reads: "Muster roll of Captain [blank] Company ([blank],) of the [blank] Regiment of [blank], Army of the Confederate States of America, (Colonel [blank],) from the [blank] day of [blank] 186[blank], when last mustered, to the [blank] day of [blank] 186[blank]." This example is dated Feb. 28, 1863. Given are the names of the officers and enlisted men in the regiment, with rank, date and location of enlistment, the duration, bounty paid,  whether they were present, and if not the reason (most sick in hospital, a few under arrest for desertion, some died), also the payroll, and other details. OCLC/WorldCat lists only five examples, four of which are at the Boston Athanaeum, the other at the New York Historical Society. Among the soldiers listed on this example is Albert T. Goodwyn, 1st Sgt. Provenance: Descended in the Tyler-Goodwyn family.
