Description:

Two volumes. 50 loose color plates. 37¼x28½ cm (14¾x11¼") Vol. I in string-bound rice paper with cover label (containing text in Japanese); Vol. II loose plates (a.e.g.), all laid-in to wooden clamshell box, paper cover label and floral design, bone clasps. 

A selection of prints depicting select pieces of porcelain, with a ribbon-bound catalog of 25 numbered pages, itemizing each plate in Japanese. Okuda was the author of various books on Japanese ceramics, including Masterpieces of Pottery and Porcelain in Japan, issued between 1926 and 1930.

We are specialists at packing and shipping books and works on paper.   All lots purchased by the same client are combined for shipping in order to keep the cost as economical as possible.  Our preferred method for domestic shipments is UPS Ground but we can also ship via FedEx or USPS Priority Mail. We do NOT ship USPS Media Mail under any circumstances.For international orders we select the most appropriate carrier depending on the value and weight of the items purchased.  We are happy to accommodate special arrangements by request.

Invoices are sent out the day following the auction and include a minimum $10 handling fee plus actual shipping and insurance charges.
