Inscribed & signed "Prof. Wolfram Eberhard with the Author's Compliments Seoul, Febr. 1949" on title page. The highly accomplished and well-traveled Wolfram Eberhard [1909-1989] was a professor of Sociology at the University of California, Berkeley focused on Western, Central and Eastern Asian societies. Chewon [Chae-W?n] Kim was director of the National Museum of Korea. He wrote extensively about the various arts of Korea, including ceramics, sculpture, gold, bronze and lacquer.
