With approximately 64 plates, some folding,  from photographs and facsimiles, some with multiple images, with a total of 89 numbered images with accompanying descriptive text in English and Japanese. (Folio) 36.5x23.5 cm (14¼x9"), original decorative cloth over boards, bound with twine, all edges gilt. First Edition.

Rare volume by the Director of the Nagasaki Library, profusely illustrated from photographs and facsimiles. Features images of paintings, sculptures, book leaves, various texts, etc. No auction records could be located. 

Lot Amendments
Some wear, fading, and staining to cloth; Japanese script on front pastedown, pencil notes on title page with areas of darkening near gutter, toning and a bit of light foxing; very good.

We are specialists at packing and shipping books and works on paper.   All lots purchased by the same client are combined for shipping in order to keep the cost as economical as possible.  Our preferred method for domestic shipments is UPS Ground but we can also ship via FedEx or USPS Priority Mail. We do NOT ship USPS Media Mail under any circumstances.For international orders we select the most appropriate carrier depending on the value and weight of the items purchased.  We are happy to accommodate special arrangements by request.

Invoices are sent out the day following the auction and include a minimum $10 handling fee plus actual shipping and insurance charges.
