Ogilby's famed translation into verse of Æsop, complete with the many fine textual copperplates by Wenceslaus Hollar and others for which it is justly renowned, as well as for the text. The portrait of Ogilby that is not present is often lacking, as is another portrait that is sometimes added, of King Charles. The frontispiece in volume 1 is trimmed to the plate mark and laid down.
