Kinney, 47 photogravures after original negatives by the author and F. Kouchakji that show the chalice in detail and from many angles, and 4 diagrams, of which 2 are photogravures.. This handsome publication is a comprehensive academic and photographic study of the Chalice of Antioch, said to be one of the contenders to be the authentic Holy Chalice of Christ, when it was discovered in Antioch in 1910. Study of the object in the intervening years has since ruled out this possibility. It is however, still considered one of the more acclaimed and earliest surviving Christian relics, dating from the early 5th century.
