Many of Edith Wharton's stories and novels were first printed in literary magazines. Some of these are first book editions.

• Xingu and Other Stories. Cloth lettered in gilt. Charles Scribners Sons, 1916. First Edition. (Lettering on spine faded, spine sunned; hinges cracked).
• The Mother's Recompense. Cloth letttered in gilt. D. Appleton and Company, 1925. First Edition. (Lettering on spine fading).
• The Children. Blue cloth lettered in gilt, jacket. D. Appleton and Company, 1928. First Edition (Chip to  price-clipped jacket at spine head, some creasing; nick to cloth on back board, mild toning).
