Description:

Folding pocket map, 26¼ x 39½ inches, with printed color, folding into brown blindstamped cloth boards, gilt cover title, 6¾x4”.

An attractive pocket map of Pennsylvania, done on a scale of roughly eight miles to the inch.  Each county is outlined in color, and the state's many railroad lines are clearly delineated.  The map may derive from a very large 1882 railroad and county map of the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic also published by Rand, McNally.  This pocket map not in Phillips MAPS, nor in Rumsey. 


Lot Amendments

Condition:
Large dampstain to rear cover rolling over to spine and front cover; map detached from cover; rubberstamp on verso; small closed tears at fold intersections; very good.

Lots sold without reserve are sold "as Is" and are not returnable under any circumstances. The minimum shipping and handling per invoice is $25 for shipments to the US and $40 for shipments sent outside the US Please consider this when determining your bid amounts.

We are specialists at packing and shipping books and works on paper.   All lots purchased by the same client are combined for shipping in order to keep the cost as economical as possible.  Our preferred method for domestic shipments is UPS Ground but we can also ship via FedEx or USPS Priority Mail. We do NOT ship USPS Media Mail under any circumstances.For international orders we select the most appropriate carrier depending on the value and weight of the items purchased.  We are happy to accommodate special arrangements by request.

Invoices are sent out the day following the auction and include a minimum $10 handling fee plus actual shipping and insurance charges.
