160 pp. Arranged with an introduction by S. John Woods. 244 works in monochrome and 11 in full color. There are also eight pages of reproductions in four-color line-and-tone. In addition there are five plates included drawn specially by Piper for this work: one aquatint (frontispiece), one monochrome lithograph and three lithographs in color. Tissue guards are also present. (4to)  31.5x25.5 cm (12¼x10") salmon buckram lettered in gilt on spine over green blaze, green pictorial stamp to front board, pictorial jacket. First Edition. 

This is a catalogue raisonné of the works of Piper, a monograph giving a comprehensive list of artworks by the artist.

Lot Amendments

Lightly faded jacket slightly chipped at head of spine, ½" tear at foot; volume lightly bumped at spine ends and lower corners, small stain in margin of frontispiece not affecting aquatint; near fine in very good jacket.

Lots sold without reserve are sold “as Is” and are not returnable under any circumstances. The minimum shipping and handling per invoice is $20 for shipments to the US and $30 for shipments outside the US please consider this when determining your bid amount

We have a full service shipping department to ensure proper packing and safe delivery of purchases at reasonable cost. We are specialists at packing and shipping books and works on paper.   All lots purchased by the same client are combined for shipping in order to keep the cost as economical as possible.  Our preferred method for domestic shipments is UPS Ground but we can also ship via FedEx or USPS Priority Mail. We do NOT ship USPS Media Mail under any circumstances.For international orders we select the most appropriate carrier depending on the value and weight of the items purchased.  We are happy to accommodate special arrangements by request.

Invoices are sent out the day following the auction and include a minimum $10 handling fee plus actual shipping and insurance charges.
