Complete in 3 volumes. Each volume with a frontispiece portrait. (8vo), finely bound in three quarter blue morocco and marbled boards, spine with raised bands, gilt-decorated compartments, lettered in gilt; marbled endpapers, top edges gilt. Bound by Sangorski & Sutcliffe. First Edition.

Adèle d'Osmond, Comtesse de Boigne was a French aristocrat and writer. She was born and raised at the Palace of Versailles before her family went into exile during the French Revolution. She kept a brilliant salon in Paris in the 1830s and 1840s, and was later known for these memoirs describing life under the July Monarchy. A handsomely bound set.

Invoices are sent out the day following the auction and include a minimum $10 handling fee plus actual shipping and insurance charges.
